To document my culinary adventures, I designed and built The Epicure's Journal — a food mapping app where you log dishes you've loved or want to try, trace their origins on a globe, plan routes between them, and share the journey with others.
Taste is low-level code in the brain, and people can hardly fake what they love or hate to eat, which makes flavor one of the most honest reflections of who we are and what we need. Scale that up, and you see it everywhere: the food a place is known for carries its climate, its pace of life, its people's temperament. And if you trace how food has changed over time, you get a side door into history — not the curated version, but the lived one.
I also love cooking and sharing meals with friends. Currently perfecting my latest recipe: fennel, squid, and olive oil claypot | 小茴香鱿鱼啫啫煲.
